Respiratory Physiotherapy in Complex Neurology
Many patients with complex neurological presentations have their progress limited by Respiratory issues, usually recurrent chest infections or Breathing Pattern Disorders. Through comprehensive assessment and training, Robin aims to optimise Respiratory Health as part of a Holistic Plan, either working with members of the established care team or as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team through Home Rehab Therapist
Long Covid Recovery
Many people have not fully recovered after having Covid. For all there are currently no medical cures, guided self management can help people gain understanding of their presentation of the condition, what they can to to help themselves and speak to someone who has recovered from the condition himself.
Robin is currently working with Long Covid patients independently and as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team through The Long Covid Clinic with Dr Binita Kane and colleagues TLCC - The Long Covid Clinic
Cardiac Rehab (and Prehab!)
After a cardiac event (heart attack, surgery, diagnosis of angina) Cardiac Rehab helps guide patients back to full health and independence in a controlled an safe way. The principles of Cardiac Rehab is also important for those with cardiac risk factors so Prehab is designed using the same principles but for primary prevention and is popular with those whose relatives have recently had heart problems
Pulmonary Rehab
Pulmonary Rehab is for anyone who has a diagnosed lung condition but traditionally is for patients with COPD, Asthma, Pulmonary Fibrosis or following lung surgery. As well as graded exercise to improve overall physical capacity, the programme helps educate patients and their families on all aspects of life that can impact their breathing

Having worked in Physiotherapy for over 30 years, I believe that motivated people with a little skilled direction can improve their Health and Wellbeing through Guided Lifestyle Changes. I work by telling people why they should follow the agreed plan, not just what they should do. By influencing the thoughts and beliefs of an individual, they are more likely to change behaviour and improve their health.
